The Associate of Applied Science degree in Business offers three different concentrations: Accounting, Computer Support, and Management. These concentrations are designed to provide you with all of the skills and knowledge you will need to compete in today's management marketplace. You may have the opportunity to work in a busy computerized office setting, in an organization dependent on a computerized work place, or with a product that you enjoy using in retailing. You will certainly have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people. As a member of the management team you may be responsible for ensuring that other employees of the organization and its customers receive satisfactory service and quality; answer customers questions and handle complaints; oversee the work of associates; provide day-to-day oversight of a department; and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. You will be taking courses that will prepare you for all of these responsibilities and more. A career in todayıs business environment can be a rich and rewarding one.

You will be trained in basic computer literacy while learning some of the most popular software packages in word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and presentations. Your education will be rounded out with general education courses in written and oral communication, literature, mathematics, and psychology. Career Development will give you the resume and cover letter writing and interviewing skills required in landing that first job.

Upon graduation, you will be qualified for an exciting job in today's business arena. You will be qualified for an entry-level position such as help desk manager, support services manager, computer support manager, office manager, assistant store manager, department manager, retail supervisor, customer service manager, or retail store manager. Because of the strong background in management skills in this program, your possibilities are not limited to any one business field. You may also qualify for an entry-level managerial position in many different industries. The opportunities are everywhere you look for a prosperous future in the business marketplace.
